Contemporary Art Mosaic for All Your Worlds
Two Sisters Mosaics is the artistic collaboration between sisters Jean McBride and Jane Sullivan. We're artists who share a passion for gluing glass and other enticing tesserae to a variety of objects. In fact it's a joke around us that if anyone stands still too long, they're likely to come away with a glass tattoo!
Our Primary Medium is Glass
We work primarily in glass, but have been known to use pottery shards, ceramic tile, bits of metal, river rock and any other shiny object that catches our eye. Our specialty is contemporary art mosaic for your yard and garden, though we are expanding our work to include fine art for indoor settings. Each piece is one-of-a-kind made with hand cut glass and various other interesting tesserae glued one by one to whatever base we're using. Many of the bases for our sculpture have been recruited from their former, more utilitarian jobs to now spend their days as glorious pieces of art.
Look for Blazing Color from Us
At Two Sisters we strive for our work to enchant the observer and dazzle with color and movement. One of our patrons commented, "You girls aren't shy about using color." So true.
You'll Find Us in Colorado
Our studio is located in the foothills of the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains in Fort Collins, along the front range in northern Colorado.
We invite you to wander through the site and have a look at what we love to make. If you see something that speaks to you, well, that's all the better! We'd like nothing more than for our art to find a good home with you.
We also work on special commissions and are happy to discuss your ideas and come up with a piece of art that thrills you.
Thanks for stopping by. Please come back often so we don't get lonely!
